"Trade Law Firm of the Year in Germany"

Karsten Korrat, Partner

Karsten Korrat advises national and international corporations on commercial law. He focuses mainly on the drafting and negotiation of national and international commercial contracts. His areas of expertise are commercial law and distribution law as well as IT law and IP-law. In addition to the ongoing advise on companies’ operational business, another main focus of his activities is the legal support of complex projects, such as the sourcing and implementation of IT-solutions, the legal advice of research and development co-operations and licensing projects.

Together with Udo von Fragstein he heads our Practice Group Commercial/Outsourced Legal Department, which is specialised in advising and supporting the operational business of national and international clients. In this field Karsten Korrat has gained extensive expertise in his capacity as external lawyer as well as during his time as Inhouse counsel of a multinational, publicly listed corporation, where he supported the operational business as “legal business partner”.

Karsten Korrat advises corporations from different industrial sectors, for example chemical companies, steel-processing and metal-working companies, as well as IT-providers and companies from the electronic industry.

Karsten Korrat regularly conducts employee trainings and workshops in the above areas.
