Together with the law firm SchochAuer (St. Gallen), FRANZlegal advised the Swiss SFS Group on the acquisition of mbe Moderne Befestigungselemente GmbH based in Menden. SFS Gruppe AG is a company specialising in mechanical fastening systems and precision mouldings and is based in Heerbrugg, Switzerland.
With mbe Moderne Befestigungselemente GmbH, the SFS Group is acquiring a leading supplier of painted fasteners for high-quality building facades. mbe was founded in 1979 in Menden, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and primarily supplies the German specialist trade with painted fasteners for curtain-type, rear-ventilated facades.
The transaction was completed in mid-February 2020 following approval by the relevant competition authorities.
